Ellery first joined Optimized Thermal Systems as an intern while studying at the University of Maryland. Years later, after completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and working in the energy field for a time, he rejoined the OTS family as a Sr. Thermal Engineer at OTS R&D.

Ellery is innovative, forward-thinking and open-minded, leveraging his hands-on experimental and modeling experience to support efforts that aim to achieve a sustainable, decarbonized future. He has direct experience in novel heat exchanger design and testing, HVAC system experimental testing, personal cooling approaches, and building commissioning.

Outside of work, Ellery enjoys various outdoor activities such as running, hiking, and camping. Additionally, he enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
