Tim Kim
Thermal Engineer
As a former Research Assistant at the University of Maryland (UMD) from the HVAC Lab and a former undergraduate NIST Research Fellow, Tim applies his methodical problem-solving approach to advance client projects.
His background includes an MS in Mechanical Engineering Heat Transfer from UMD and a Computer Engineering minor. Tim is an adept programmer and experimentalist, who draws connections across disciplines with insightful curiosity.
Whether developing LabVIEW interfaces for refined data acquisition or consulting on multifaceted engineering challenges, Tim’s enjoys collaboration in the drive towards innovative solutions. Ever resourceful, Tim once 3D printed his own phone mount for use in his car.
